“People do not come to therapy to change their past but their future”

How counselling can work for you

Counselling is talking therapy that helps resolve personal or psychological difficulties. Maybe you want to address major life changes, like bereavement or a personal conflict. Perhaps you are looking for help in managing mental health conditions such as depression. Or you’re simply feeling stuck and directionless and life has, in some respects, lost its meaning.

Through counselling I can help you gain a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes by using Person Centred Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy to explore both immediate issues that affect the present, as well as looking at established patterns of thought, belief systems and behaviour stemming from emotional experiences in the past.

This will help you analyse the ingrained narrative in your head and heart, and develop self-awareness and acceptance. Because in order to change, you have to do, think and feel differently.
